We are excited about the start of the 2021-2022 school year.  Though we will continue to have to address COVID related concerns, we are happy to say that we will have a much more “relaxed” approach. The LISD plan addressing COVID related issues can be found on the district’s website at www.lindsayisd.org

Regardless of the issues school’s faced last year, LISD had a typical stellar year in all phases.  For the countless year in a row, LISD placed in the top 10 of the UIL’S Lone Star Cup.  The Lone Star Cup is the results of various competitions held throughout the year by the UIL.  Schools accumulate points based on their performance at the competitions. At the end of year, the winners for each classification are declared the Lone Star Cup. LISD finished 7th in 2020-21.  This result is a direct reflection of our students, staff, and community.  Thanks to all who played a part!

We are excited to let you know about a few changes that will be taking place with our facilities during the 2021-22 school year.  We will be installing a new football practice field.  The new field will provide our student athletes with an outstanding place to practice.  Another major change is that we will be renovating the windows and general outside appearance to the elementary buildings.  These changes will not improve the energy efficiency of the buildings but they will also give a much needed facelift to the appearance of the buildings.  The junior high athletic locker rooms will be improved as well.  The current rooms are pretty old. The new changes will bring and ADA compliant area that both students and staff can have a lot of pride in! Last but not least, we are going to update the district’s press box. The new facility will provide more space for coaches of both home and away staffs along with giving space for the filming of games. Throughout the year, we will provide updates to these projects.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions regarding any and all school issues.
