LINDSAY

Skipper Bezner was raised in Lindsay, TX, spending his youth as a farm hand.  He was also a Mass server at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and a member of the Lindsay Boys and Girls Club and CYO. 

Skipper graduated from Lindsay High School in 1966.  After graduation, he went into the Air Force where he served one tour in Southeast Asia.  He was stationed in Thailand as a jet engine mechanic. 

In 1973, Skipper married Barbara Schumacher.  They bought a home three miles north of Lindsay where they raised their family.  In 1982 Skipper opened Bezner Insurance.  He retired from the insurance business in 2012 after 30 years of service.

Skipper was a charter member of the Lindsay JC’s and is a life member of the Lindsay Knights of Columbus.  He currently serves as an Extraordinary Minister, Sacristan, Instituted Acolyte, and tour guide for St. Peter’s Catholic Church. 

Barbara and Skipper still reside in Lindsay.  They have 4 children and 16 grandchildren.  Skipper says they plan to be Lindsay Knights for a long time.
