A&P Students Create Brain Hats
Students in Mrs. Barnhill’s Anatomy and Physiology class made brain hats to help understand the different lobes and their functions as they study the Nervous System.

LHS Students Win at UIL Student Congress
AUSTIN-Congratulations to Mia Hweidi and Maggie Krahl on placing at the State UIL Student Congress!! Mia is the State Champion of the 2A UIL Student Congress and Maggie placed 4th.
Students Compete in State Student Congress
AUSTIN-LHS students Mia Hweidi, Maggie Krahl, and Jackson Blackmon competed at the UIL State Student Congress on January 14. Mia and Maggie advanced to the finals that would be held on January 15, and Mia was among the students that were pictured on the cover for this year's program.
A&P Students Create “Tissue” Box Models
The Lindsay Anatomy and Physiology students are learning about The Integumentary System also referred to as your skin. Students made "tissue" box models showing the 5 layers of the epidermis (outer layer of skin), the dermis (inner layer of skin), accessory structures (glands, nerves, blood vessels, and hair), and a skin disorder. Tissue boxes are presented to teachers to have in their room so everyone can learn about the skin.
Bass Fishing Team Has Good Weekend
The LHS Bass Fishing team notched a third-place finish in a tournament at Lake Ray Hubbard on November 16. It is the highest-overall finish by the team in a tournament. Complete meet results are here (Lindsay is on page 3).
Veterans Honored at Assembly
Lindsay ISD held an assembly on November 11 to honor those who have served our country in military service. The event was run by the student council and featured music from the elementary campus. Photo gallery.
Mrs. Keith’s Class Performs Flame Experiment
On November 6, we observed one of Mrs. Keith’s chemistry classes performing flame tests on different materials.
Robotics Team Competes in Denton
On October 26, Lindsay High School had a team compete in a Robotics Competition at the Super Pit in Denton. See a video of some of the competition here.
Bass Fishing Team Does Well at Lewisville
The Lindsay High School Bass Fishing Team competed at Lake Lewisville on October 12. The team had a great tournament with the team of Evan Anderle and Seth Foster placing 5th overall in the tournament out of 176 teams. Thank you to all the boat captains and parents for providing this great opportunity for our students.
Colwell is Crowned Homecoming Queen
LHS Senior Kaylee Colwell was crowned Homecoming Queen at halftime of the football game on October 4. She was escorted by classmate Nick Schmitz. See the photo gallery of the event here.
