Three Honored by Petroflex
LHS Seniors Chad Shauf, Jace Edington, and Rusti Blanton were recognized on April 27 by Petroflex of Gainesville for their work with the company. The three recently completed the company Apprentice Program. We have a photo gallery of the event here.
Bass Club Qualifies for State
Five teams from the Lindsay Bass Club fished on April 17 at the Regional bass tournament and ALL 5 teams qualified for the State Bass Tournament! Henry Thurman and Jacob Dulock finished 9th with 10.11 pounds, Derek Parsons and Dawson Foster finished 27th with 7.59.
Shauf Receives Scholarship Offer
LHS Senior Chad Shauf received a $1,000 scholarship offer from Texas State Technical College in Breckenridge on April 15. Chad is pictured with TSTC recruiter Christopher Johnson.

Culinary Class Makes Pasta

Dulock Wins Scholarship for Essay
Congratulations to Rory Dulock on placing fifth at the State Voice of Democracy Contest. Rory’s essay was sponsored by VFW Post 1922 in Gainesville, and she was awarded a scholarship for placing fifth in the contest.
Prom is March 27
Prom for Lindsay High School has been scheduled for Saturday, March 27. Introductions will begin at 7:00 pm and the event will end at midnight.
Students Receive Awards from VFW
On December 9, LHS students Rory Dulock and Loren Freeman received Voice of Democracy awards from the local Veterans of Foreign Wars for their submissions in an essay contest. The topic was, “Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned?” Loren took second place and Rory won first, also winning first in the VFW District contest and earning a check. They are pictured with VFW representatives.
LHS Donates to Boys & Girls Club
A group of students presented the Boys and Girls Club of Cooke County a donation of $1600 in December. The check was to assist the Club’s Littlest Angels program.
Floral Design Class Does Good Work
Students in Mrs. Lee’s Floral Design class has been busy with their creations.
High School is Dressed for Fall
Students in Mrs. Barnhill’s seventh period class did a good job of decorating the front of the high school with a fall theme on October 21.
Floral Design Class Delivers Mums
In October, students in Mrs. Lee’s floral design classes made Homecoming mums and delivered them to those who purchased them.
Colwell Named Homecoming Queen
LHS Senior Lauren Colwell was crowned Homecoming Queen on October 9. She was escorted by Nash Dieter. Lauren was crowned by the 2019 Queen, her sister Kaylee Colwell. See the photo gallery of all of the Homecoming activities here.

Bass Fishing Team Begins Season
The Lindsay High School Bass Fishing Team started their season at Lake Lewisville on September 19. They had a great day with 3 teams placing in the top 15 and a 3rd Place overall team finish:
