Officers:
A president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer will be elected
each school year.
Requirements and duties for each office are as follows:
- A. President:
The president must be a senior or a junior having completed or in the
course of completeing four science courses in good standing.
- Duties:
The president will act as a spokesperson for the group and assist the
sponsor with activities of the organization of the club; preside at
meetings; must
always set an example of good behavior.
- B. Vice-president:
The vice-president must be a senior or a junior having completed or in
the course of completing three science courses.
- Duties:
The vice-president will take over in the absence of the president; work
closely with the sponsor; assist in anyway possible; always set an
example of good behavior.
- C. Secretary:
The secretary must be at least a sophomore, having completed or in the
course of completing two science courses.
- Duties:
Record the minutes at all meetings; work with the other officers and
the sponsor; set a good example of behavior.
- D. Treasurer:
The treasurer must be at least a sophomore, having completed or in the
process of completing two science courses.
- Duties:
Must keep accurate books of all money transactions; work with other
officers and the sponsor; set a good example of behavior.

Membership:

The student must be taking or have completed two high
school science courses, and must be currently enrolled in a science
course. |
| B. |
Members must retain a semester average above an 90
average in their current science class or an 80 in AP Biology, AP
Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology and have an overall average of 80
or higher. Grades will be checked at each six weeks. Failure to
maintain
these grades will result in probation. Grades must be raised by the
next six weeks. |
| C. |
Members must agree to abide by the rules of this
constitution. |
| D. |
Students must participate in all money making efforts
and projects. |
- Code of Conduct:
Science Club members must follow school and class policies. The
following are cause for dismissal from the club.
- Expulsion from school
- One punishment of ISS
- Miss 3 or more functions of meetings
other than illness or school functions.
- Failure to maintain required GPA
- Noticeable and/or repeated
inappropriate conduct at school or at school functions as seen by
administrators, sponsor, or officers.
