Welcome to Lindsay High School's AP English website. On this site you will find specific links to your English class needs. See the menu for Pre-AP English (10th), AP English Language (11th), and AP English Literature (12th). There are also general links for websites that all students will want to use throughout the school year. These links will be edited throughout the school year according to the needs of our AP English curriculum.
P.G. Wodehouse, an English writer, once said that "success comes to a writer, as a rule, so gradual that it is always something of a shock to him to look back and realize the heights he has climbed."
Our goal in the AP English program at Lindsay High School is for each student to gradually understand man's rhetoric in speaking and writing and to develop his/her own rhetoric to converse with any speaker or author. If our students can do this successfully, they will have had a successful climb and stand equally with college level students.
